The American Spaniel Club, Inc., is the parent club for the Cocker Spaniel. It is also a dedicated supporter of all Flushing Spaniel breeds. ASC hosts two venues each year. The show in January is dedicated to all Flushing breeds, and is known as the "ASC Annual Flushing Spaniel Show." The show in July is dedicated to the Cocker Spaniel, and is hosted by a different Zone each year. 
 

American Kennel Club:   www.AKC.org
The mission of the American Kennel Club is to:

  • Maintain a registry for purebred dogs and preserve its integrity.

  • Sanction dog events that promote interest in, and sustain the process of, breeding for type and function of purebred dogs.

  • Take whatever actions necessary to protect and assure the continuation of the sport of purebred dogs.


Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA):   www.offa.com
The objectives of the OFA are to:

  • To collate and disseminate information concerning orthopedic and genetic diseases of animals.

  • To advise, encourage and establish control programs to lower the incidence of orthopedic and genetic diseases.

  • To encourage and finance research in orthopedic and genetic disease in animals.

  • To receive funds and make grants to carry out these objectives.
